95-year-old Alzheimer’s patient was angry and scared until she met this therapy dog

Alzheimer’s is an ugly, terrible disease that has ravaged the life of this 95-year-old grandmother. But even in the darkest of times, the happy, slobbery face of a dog can let the light shine through.

Watching his grandmother suffer from a constant cycle of anger and confusion, Richard Dawson and his family decided to borrow a therapy dog to cheer her up. The result won’t just tug at your heartstrings, it’ll yank them clean out.

Those are the most touching wiener pics ever taken.

The post blew up with over 2,000 retweets, and people responded with pictures of the dachshunds making their own lives a little sweeter.

Someone even responded with a photo of her grandmother with her therapy dachshund.

Thank you for sharing, Richard. And thank you to all the good dogs.
