Just in time for Senior Sunday (a day late this week, sorry!): gorgeous Greta!

This 7-year-old terrier mix is so precious, the folks at Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia, SC, cannot believe she’s still waiting for her forever home!

Greta looooooove to be held and will even nudge you for pets if she feels like she’s not getting the attention she so surely deserves.

Greta is a lover of laps and giving kisses and adores dogs of all sizes. She’s a gently worn pupper, though, and vets who have assessed her suspect she has a slipped disc, which keeps her from walking. She is still awaiting some diagnostics (MRI, spinal tap, etc.) which will determine if her condition can be improved with surgery or will be medically managed.

Thanks to a grant from the wonderful Grey Muzzle Foundation, she will be sure to get all the care she needs. The one thing they can’t give her, though, is a forever home. That will be up to someone special out there.

For now, Greta is in foster in a loving home, but with an approved application, a loving fur parent can set up a call with an adoption staff member, discuss the details of her care and set up a meet-and greet! Greta’s adoption will be based on a “best match.” The fee — $325 — includes her spay surgery, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and other necessary tests before I can go home. Grey Muzzle is already covering her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives.
