Good day, loyal Life With Dogs readers! It’s Wednesday, AKA “Hump Day,” meaning the weekend is within sight. We have yet again another really great LWD Adoptable Dog of the Day, today. Her name is Alexa, and she comes to us from Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, in New York.

Alexa is a beautiful, young Lab mix.  She was taken from another shelter in the Dallas, Texas area, and brought into Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.  While there, medical staff worked tirelessly to help her get through a terrible case of mange.  It wasn’t an easy task, but the people at Rescue Dogs Rock NYC refused to give up on her.  Thankfully, she’s been on the mend, and is looking for a forever family.

When adopted, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC will ensure that Alexa is fully up-to-date on her shots, and will be spayed.  As of the writing of this article, Alexa is still being housed with a specialist care medical center.  However, she’ll be making her way over to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC very soon.  Wouldn’t it be great if someone stepped up and agreed to adopt her BEFORE she even gets to the shelter?

Alexa is described as a very sweet girl, who just can’t wait to have some people of her very own to care for.  She has been just super for her caregivers, and they’re positive that she would make an amazing addition to just about anyone’s life.  She’s still young, but is very smart and eager to please.  She does well with just about any human, and is even reported to get along just fine with other dogs.  No word on how she is with cats was mentioned.
