Blind Senior Dog Rescued From Junkyard Seeks A Friend To Share His Twilight Time

On October 20, 2017, the heroic rescuers from Hope for Paws responded to a call about an abandoned senior Pit Bull at a Sun City, CA auto yard. The dog was blind, frightened, and covered in motor oil.

Despite his fear, the gentle dog who would come to be known as Duncan, was easily taken in by volunteers.

Lisa Arturo of Hope for Paws was determined to give Duncan the second chance he so deserved. She contacted the fabulous folks at the Frosted Faces Foundation – a rescue organization that specializes in caring for elderly dogs.

They welcomed Duncan into their family just in time to celebrate the holidays surrounded by love and comfort!

Duncan is adored by everyone at Hope for Paws, but in order to continue rescuing as many dogs as possible, they are hoping to find this special boy a loving forever home.

There is no adoption fee for Duncan and all of Frosted Faces’ Forever Families are eligible for a $500.00 emergent pre-approved major medical donation per year.

Duncan is also available as a Forever Foster – meaning he would live with his new family for the rest of his life, but Frosted Faces would retain legal ownership in order to provide all medical expenses and supplies.

Although Frosted Faces goes above and beyond to support all of their Foster and Forever Families, becoming Duncan’s guardian will require a significant commitment.

Adopting an end-of-life pet can be emotionally demanding, but the love and gratitude you receive in return makes it all worthwhile!

If you live in the Ramona, CA area and are interested in learning more about sweet Duncan, send an email to friends@frostedfacesfoundation.org.

Even if you cannot adopt, you can still help dogs like Duncan by making a contribution to Hope for Paws and the Frosted Faces Foundation to help them continue their rescue missions!
