When someone we love has been absent from our life for a long time, it can be pretty overwhelming to finally see them again. While humans can get pretty emotional during long-awaited reunions, our animal friends often react to seeing an old friend in ways we can’t begin to fathom.

For Hannah Foraker and her beloved dog, their reunion was nothing short of breathtaking. After being away for three months for basic combat training, Hannah was able to come home for a short Christmas break. That’s when she saw her 13-year-old golden retriever waiting for her with the sweetest welcome ever.

Hannah was thrilled to see her furry friend, but her retriever’s reaction says it all. It sounded like she was crying tears of joy!
