Dog was so shocked about leaving the shelter that he couldn’t move. But keep watching…

Austin waited for this day for so long, and it was finally here. He was so shocked, he didn’t know how to act and was very hesitant. But watch the ending… oh my.

“Today was his 66th day in the Shelter and today he took his FREEDOM Walk out thanks to all of your SHARING! Happy life sweet AUSTIN”

In the United States, approximately 3.9 million dogs and 3.4 million cats live in animal shelters. Only about 2.7 of them get adopted – a year. That same number is euthanized – each year. When a dog gets adopted, it is a BIG deal, especially for that dog. Many shelters will call the last walk the dog makes out of the shelter their Freedom Walk, an appropriate name!

In this video, we see Austin taking his Freedom Walk. It is heart wrenching, I found myself cheering the dog on, telling him he will be happier in his new home! You got this Austin, good boy! After a little hug, and some gently coaxing, he made it!
