She Had Trouble Recovering After The Sandy Hook School Shooting But Then She Met This Gentle Giant…

December 14, 2012 is a day that the students, parents, teachers, and community members will never forget in Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut. 20 students and 6 adults were shot and killed by a 20-year-old gunman. After the incident, the students were traumatized. To help the students cope with the trauma brought by the horrible incident, three Golden Retrievers visited the school to comfort the kids. By simply petting, hugging, and cuddling the adorable dogs, it eased and calmed the children, comforting them from that dreadful experience.

One student, Samantha (Sammy for short), was having a very difficult time coping after the tragedy. But when she met Spartacus, a 125 lbs. Akita, they instantly bonded. Spartacus the gentle giant helped Sammy cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He played a very important role in the healing process of Sammy. Watch the video below for the full story!
