PTS – stands for “put to sleep.” For most people, that is not something they want to have to do to an animal. Sadly, as our pet reach the end of their lives, we have to make that decision. Some animals are euthanized because they are unadoptable for whatever reason. Many animal shelters are filled to the brim and put animals to sleep to save space (or money).
