This pup and her mom will be having a happy holiday thanks to fast action from Hopewell Valley Emergency Services and the Pennington Fire Company in New Jersey.

Officer Robert Voorhees, fastened to a rope, belly-crawled to the pond’s edge to rescue to the dog, which had fallen through the thin ice of the pond and was unable to get out.

As the officer grabbed hold of the frightened and freezing pooch, rescuers on shore pulled both to safety.

Wonderful rescue, happy (warm!) reunion!
