After 10 years, family moved and left their dog at a busy California shelter

At 10 years of age, a senior dog finds himself homeless at a busy California animal shelter. The husky mix, named Kira Joe, was surrendered to the Los Angeles County (Carson) Animal Services facility because his family was moving and he wasn’t part of their plans.

The Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page writes:

My former family who owned me for more than 5 years had to give me up because they were moving. But they said that I spend most of my time outdoors, but it’s not ideal. I seem to be good with small children. I am house-trained. I am good on a leash. I am just learning obedience skills. I seem to get along well with dogs.
