A beautiful, two-year-old German shepherd, has been given just two days to live. The handsome dog, named Titan, hasn’t even been at the Contra Costa County animal shelter for two weeks, but already he is on death row.
Hours ago, a plea to followers of the Save Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs Facebook page was made on Titan’s behalf:
TITAN IS SCHEDULED TO.BE EUTHANIZED ON 11/15😭
Titan, #A0944411 is a 2 year old tan and black GSD who has been at the Shelter for 12 days!! 12 DAYS!!!!! HOW CAN ANYONE JUSTIFY PUTTING A SCARED DOG TO SLEEP AFTER ONLY 12 DAYS.
Titan will come to the front of his kennel when you talk to him, but then gets scared and gives the handler a hard stare before retreating to the back of his kennel. So many GSDs behave poorly in the Shelter, so this behavior is not surprising.
Because of Titan’s fear, he has been labeled “rescue only.” Out of the shelter environment there is hope that Titan will come out of his shell and share a friendly side. The social networking page writes:
TODAY, THE WONDERFUL MATTHEW DAUGHTERS GOT TITAN OUT OF HIS KENNEL. Matt said Titan was playful, and as you can see from his pictures, very affectionate.
The clock is ticking and Titan’s time has nearly run out. Please help this handsome boy by sharing his adoption information – time is of the essence!
