A beautiful girl, just five years of age, thought she had a home when she was adopted earlier this month from the Riverside County Animal Control agency in California. The shepherd mix, dubbed Sasha Pierce, was supposed to have a new family, but her new owner returned her to the animal control agency with the excuse of “didn’t want the responsibility.”
Now Sasha Pierce is right back where she started – homeless and alone. Twice already this dog has been failed by the people she was supposed to be able to count on. In a Facebook post, Saving Riverside Shelter Dogs writes:
5/11/19- RETURNED TO SHELTER BY ADOPTER! Apparently the adopters daughter did not want the responsibility of a dog. It was no fault of Sasha!!
SASHA PIERCE (name on kennel card) #A1512383. 55 lbs. Was on microchip hold but owners never came.
That’s right…she has a microchip but her original family never came for her either. Now she is relying on strangers to help her find a committed and loving family. Please share – networking saves lives!
