Beautiful senior shepherd surrendered for the FIFTH time – needs a committed owner

A beautiful, senior German shepherd finds herself homeless in Gardena, California. According to the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page, the eight-year-old dog, named Rosie, has been surrendered an astonishing five times!

The networking page writes:

This beautiful girl was surrendered to the Lancaster Shelter last month for the 4th time..they said she lived INSIDE, is housebroken and has advanced Obedience skills. She was then adopted but there was a problem between the Adopter’s Senior dog and ROSIE so they surrendered her to Carson 3 days later, for her 5th time!. 💔💔

A volunteer shelter photographer writes of her interaction with Rosie:

She was easy to leash and to walk to the play yard. When she entered she paused and engaged in soft greetings with the other dogs. Her eyes remained soft and body relaxed. She then just walked around the yard with and amongst the other calm dogs. She did not engage in play today but did meet nose to nose with the others in passing. Shelter is recommending calm dogs for this special lady.

Saving Rosie

Rosie is a lovely dog, who is housebroken and trained. What she is lacking is the commitment of a devoted owner. Please share Rosie’s adoption information to help her find the right person to give her the life that she deserves.
