Benji Respectfully Wants to Know What the Hold Up is With His Adoption

“There was a foster that had a dog and Benji was his name, oh, B-E-N-J-I, B-E-N-J-I, B-E-N-J-I- and Benji was his name, oh!” Hi, my name is Benji, in case you didn’t catch that. I am a full-blooded Chocolate Lab who is 1.5 years old and comes in at a very healthy and fit weight of 85 pounds. I was surrendered to Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue in central Arizona due to my previous family not having the time to provide me with the proper exercise and socialization that I needed to be a very well-balanced boy.

Adopt, Don’t Shop

Since I have been with my foster and K-9 family of five, I have been able to play, get proper exercise, and interact with friends that I so enjoy being with. I love to hike, go for walks, play with all sorts of toys, go for car rides, get belly rubs, and take a shower with my humans, that is if you’ll let me! I also love all people and have come to learn that I enjoy having other K-9 companions with me to play with. My foster mom says having other doggos to live and play with is a needed/important part of my overall well-being and fun-natured and balanced disposition.

Labrador Retrievers

I also get along well with cats and even desert tortoises, which is a good thing where I live now. I am considered mild to high energy, so I will need a strong, calm, confident leader who will continue to help me be the best version of myself and to have a K-9 companion or two that loves to play as I do. If you are ready for some fun, lots of kisses, super cool adventures, and are looking for a sweet, loving companion and best friend, I would love to meet you ASAP!

If this sounds like you, hit me up at dlrraz.org for more information and an adoption application today. I’ll be waiting!!!!!
