Betrayed and failed at 15-years-old, his story is hopeless

A 15-year-old King Charles spaniel has been betrayed and failed. Tragically, Murphy has been at the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority too many days and is at risk of being euthanized at any time.

At one time Murphy was loved, but now his sadness breaks the hearts of volunteers and shelter employees alike.

“All of our hearts are shattered for him. Last week he was  engaged and looked around, but now he won’t even lift his head. There is nothing sadder than a defeated dog. Yesterday a volunteer cried and I dreamed sad (and God I hope not prophetic) things about him,” a volunteer wrote.

“I absolutely cannot in good conscience let dear Murphy die being forgotten like this. All his kennel mates are being adopted or rescued and he IS BEING LEFT BEHIND. We have got to help him and I truly believe there is NO time to delay.”

20-12072 is a white/brown, male adult dog, that weighs approximately 36 lbs. He was impounded on 12/18/2019 from the City of Norwalk.

Availability:
Available for adoption holds on 12/18/2019. Adoption holds must be placed in person. Adoption availability date 12/21/2019.
