A middle-aged dog, picked up as a stray and taken to a busy Texas animal control agency, has been let down by his family. The dog, named Bently, has an embedded microchip, and though the shelter staff phoned his family, nobody has visited the facility and taken him home.

7/31 This precious boy really needs a plan! We honestly can’t believe no one has adopted this sweetheart yet. Please consider adding him to your family either forever by adopting or temporarily by offering to foster him. Please call Saturday at 281-999-3191 ext 0 to meet him!
It is sad when a friendly dog like BENTLY has owners who can’t be bothered to return a call about their found dog. So sweet Bently has been sitting in the dog pound for 6 days waiting for his family who is NOT coming. He deserves to be important and loved, so pick-up the phone and call 281-999-3191 xt 0 if you want to adopt him! Thank goodness he is Heartworm negative!
Bently’s family doesn’t seem inclined to save their own dog so he is relying on the kindness of strangers to help him.
