A senior dog was betrayed by her family. The 10-year-old Labrador retriever mix, named Lola, was surrendered by her family who cited skin conditions as the reason for letting her go.
Lola lost her family on December 18, and today she continues to wait for someone to take her home from the BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. On Sunday, Houston Underdogs wrote:
Ten year old lab! Poor Lola is at BARC after giving her best years to who she thought would be her forever family Can anyone help this sweet girl out? Lola was turned in by her owner on 12-18 because of skin issues. The thing is, she has no hair loss. She has callouses-but that’s normal for her age.
With additional information from the family who gave her up:
Per the owner: Lola has been an inside dog, is housebroken and has been around children. She also knows how to sit on command. She described her as a very social, friendly dog. She is older but is heartworm negative and medical staff didn’t notice any other issues. Can anyone please give this girl a second chance at a happy ending? She can be fostered, adopted, or tagged by rescue!
