In North Las Vegas, the owner of a two-year-old bulldog is devastated after her dog was alleged to have been crushed to death by a grooming table at PetSmart on Tuesday. Vicki Seifert had brought her dog Minni to the store for a bath and to have her nails trimmed.
According to CbsNews, the bath and trim nails service wasn’t expected to take much time, so Vicki decided to wait and browsed through the aisles in the store. Suddenly she noticed employees running to the grooming area. There she saw Minni under a grooming table – her dog appeared to have been crushed under the weight of the collapsed table.
“I don’t believe it was the weight of the table it was the fact that it was electric and it had crushed her to the point that the table was closed all the way on her and then with it being unplugged there was no way to raise it,” Seifert told news media.
Seifert brought Minni into the grooming area at 6:30; tragically her dog was dead by 6:43. Many questions have not been answered
PetSmart has since released t he following statement:
“A tragic accident occurred in our grooming salon, which led to the heartbreaking loss of Minni. There’s nothing more important than the safety of the pets in our care, and we immediately launched a comprehensive investigation into how this type of unprecedented event could have possibly happened.”
A necropsy has been ordered to determine the cause of Minni’s death.
Rest in peace sweet dog.
