Couple accused of starving dog to death arrested in Laredo

A couple in Laredo, Texas, has been arrested for starving a dog to death. According to multiple sources, Laredo police arrested Omar Aguilar, 50, and Priscilla Arlene Garcia, 33, last week for the death of a white pit bull who was found discarded in a recycling bin.

Garcia initially reached out to the authorities with a report that her boyfriend, Omar, had neglected a dog so badly that it had died. When officers arrived to a residence on the 2800 block of Monterrey Street, they found an emaciated pit bull in a recycling bin, reports KGNS News.

After an investigation was completed, the district attorney determined that both Aguilar and Garcia were complicit in the dog’s death; they are both facing charges of animal cruelty.
