Deputy finds puppy tied inside of a trash bag

On Thursday, a puppy was discovered tied inside of a plastic trash bag. According to the DeSoto County County Sheriff’s Office in DeSoto, Florida, the dog had been abandoned in the area of Southwest Hillsborough Avenue in Arcadia.

Corporal Plymale was flagged down in reference to the pup in the trash bag; the officer quickly freed the friendly little guy who jumped for joy and wagged his tail in appreciation.

Authorities are trying to find the person(s) responsible for leaving the puppy tied in the plastic bag. Fortunately, the pup, now named Bouncer, did not suffocate.

Hey DeSoto!! It’s me, “Bouncer” (as the awesome staff at DeSoto County Animal “Control likes to call me)… yes, I am super cute and super bouncy! 🐶

Some nice folks from DCSO came by to check on me today after my traumatic experience yesterday. I just wanted to thank you all for your concern and let you know I’m doing great. I’m healthy, safe and cozy right now.

I’m not up for adoption but there are lots of other dogs and cats with me here at the shelter in need of homes! Come check them out!!

Oh, and DeSoto… DON’T FORGET TO LOCK YOUR DOORS!!! Keep your homes, cars, pets and valuables safe!,” the sheriff’s department posted on their Facebook page with the adorable photo posted below:
