A small dog is in need of a new home after her owner died from Covid-19. The five-year-old Chihuahua, named Chloe, is now in the care of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) in Boston.
On Wednesday, the animal welfare agency updated Facebook followers about the dog’s situation, including her need for surgery:
Little Chloe landed at the MSPCA Boston Adoption Center after her owner died of COVID-19.
This sweet girl has already been through so much, but her journey is far from over.
She will need surgery to remove a metal plate from her front leg–which was supposed to come off years ago following an operation to heal a broken bone–and it’s possible we’ll have to amputate the leg to spare her a future of pain and injury.
Chloe will undergo x-rays to determine the best course of action to take for her compromised let. If you’d like to contribute toward her mounting medical bills you can do so via www.mspca.org/helpchloe!
