Dog stuck in plastic pipe rushes to nurse her newborn puppies moments after rescue in Mumbai

A heartwarming video has emerged of officials rescuing a stray dog whose head was stuck inside a pipe in western India.

The incident took place around 11 pm on Saturday (August 3) at Marol locality in Mumbai where a stray dog was spotted with a one-foot-long polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe stuck on its head.

The canine’s neck and snout were stuck inside the pipe from which it tried to free itself for nearly five hours.

The dog had recently given birth to five puppies and had taken shelter at an industrial complex nearby.

The dog was noticed by a local who went to feed it on Saturday evening.

He then contacted Awaaz-Voice of Stray Animals, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Marol.
