Dogs involved in crazy RV chase now up for adoption

In Los Angeles, California, the two dogs that survived a crazy RV chase after the vehicle was stolen have recovered and are now available for adoption.

The two female Mastiffs and Cane Corso mixes, Starlet and Onyx were injured in the vehicle chase on May 21 when a woman stole the recreational vehicle and crashed into a palm tree and several cars on a high speed chase from Santa Clarita to Tarzana.

One of the dogs jumped out of the vehicle through the smashed front windshield; the other dog, who suffered cut and bloodied paws, remained with the woman in the vehicle after the crash. Both dogs were taken to Foxy and the Hounds, a rescue organization and have been since been recovering.

On Sunday the two were ready for adoption:

“TODAY IS THE DAY to come meet Starlet & Onyx at Foxy and the Hounds Dog Adoption Event at Concerts on the Green at Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. We never separate bonded pairs and they are available for adoption together only. Let’s find these beautiful girls the very best forever home. Hope to see you there!”

The dogs are very bonded and will be adopted out together. It is preferred they be placed with an experienced owner. If interested in adopting, please click here for more information.

A 52-year-old woman from Winnetka faces charges in connection with the pursuit.
