Elderly dog surrendered by family, now he is at risk of being put down

An elderly dog, 14 years of age, finds himself homeless after his family decided to surrender him to a busy animal control agency in Texas. The senior dog, named Andre, is described as “sweet and mellow,” but he is at risk of being put down.

On Wednesday, the SAPA Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page wrote a plea on Andre’s behalf:

572818 Andre is a sweet, mellow guy who was recently owner surrendered at no fault of his own. Will you give him a loving home to live out his senior years in? Andre is around 14 years old and weighs about 15-20 lbs.

THIS DOG IS IN ACS KENNELS & AT RISK OF BEING KILLED. SHELTER EVALUATES SPACE AT: 9:30am Mon-Sat, and again at 5pm Mon-Fri & 3pm Sat. Or at anytime as space is needed.
