Elderly dog waits for her chance to be saved

An elderly dog, 12 years of age, is waiting at a busy California animal control agency for her chance to be saved. The senior dog, Misha, has been held at the Downey Animal Care Center since Oct. 24.

On Saturday, an advocate writes:

MISHA-❤
Shes a Granny at 12. She is a crumbly oreo cookie colored.❤ She has chocolate colored freckles.
She sweetly greets you for treats.
I know out of the kennel, she is sure to be a cuddly granny girl.

Most potential adopters do not visit animal shelters in search of an old dog. Most are seeking young, spry pups with pep in their step and years of life in their future. But these older dogs need love too. Not long ago, they were the energetic pups that everyone wanted.

Time has passed and now Misha is the gray-faced senior dog who is firmly in the twilight of her life. Right now, a soft bed and loving owner are all that she needs to make her life complete. Please help Misha find her person by taking a moment to share her adoption information.
