Family got too busy and surrendered their blind, senior dog to busy animal control

Imagine being loaded into a car and driven to a strange place and abandoned by your family. Imagine the added confusion of being left at that same facility as a blind dog – it would be exceptionally confusing and terrifying! This is the reality for Cassie, a blind dog who is currently homeless in Gardena, California.

On Friday morning, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, writes:

Sweet CASSIE was left so confused after 8 years because her family got too busy and she is BLIND!. The sweetest girl you will ever meet and when she feel you pet her she automatically flips over and gives you her belly and a huge tail wag! She has advanced obedience skills they said.

Cassie did nothing wrong to warrant her current situation. Her family simply got too busy to care for her anymore. Will you please help her find a new, committed owner?

Thanks! #A4373429 My name is CASSIE and I'm an approximately 8 year old female Welsh Corgi C.. I am already spayed. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 10/2. I will be available on 10/6. You can visit me at my temporary home at C413. My former family who owned me for more than 5 years had to give me up because they did not have enough time to spend with me. But they said that I seem to be good with small children. I am housetrained. I am good on a leash. I have advanced obedience skills. 🔹Welsh Corgi C. 🔹 AGE:8 years🔹 Female (S) 🔹 ARRIVED:10/2🔹 AVAILABLE ON: 10/6🔹 Carson Shelter – 310-523-9566🔹 M-TH 12pm-7pm, F-SU- 10am-5pm🔹216 W Victoria St. Gardena, CA 90248PHOTO: 1https://www.facebook.com/savingcarsonshelterdogs/photos/a.172032662969376/1325515630954401/?type=3&theater💚💚INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?
