Police in Fort Payne, Alabama, are investigating a case of animal cruelty involving a dog who was found decapitated on train tracks. In a release, the authorities recounted what is known about the alleged crime, writing:
On 03/18/2020, our department took an animal cruelty report, at the Alabama Walking Park. The victim had a family pet come up missing and they were in the area looking for it. They were told by some people in the park that there were possibly 2 teenage boys, who had a dog matching that description, on the railroad tracks.
When the family searched the area, they found their dog, Buster, decapitated. The release states:
Buster, had been possibly tied to the tracks and ran over by a train. The rope had been removed and the decapitated dog was left on the tracks.
This crime possibly occurred sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. If anyone saw these two suspects or have any information about it all, please call the tip line at 256-844-6053 and leave a message or contact one of the officers.
