Help now underway for dog thrown from moving car in plastic bag

In Henderson County, Kentucky, a road crew found a dog in the road median on Friday, lying on the parkway stuffed into a plastic bag unable to move and shivering. She has been named Penny.

The Humane Society of Henderson rushed her to an emergency veterinarian hospital where the sweet dog was diagnosed with both left legs broken, her right front leg broken in three places as well as a crushed sacrum.

Because of the seriousness of the injuries, the Arrow Fund located in Louisville has agreed to take Penny. This organization specializes in cases like this, as Penny is expected to have a long road to recovery and will need specialized and expensive care.

” We will transport her in the morning to Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Louisville where they will stabilize her and get her ready for her first surgery. ALL DONATIONS WILL BE GIVEN TO ARROW FUND FOR HER CARE. We cannot thank you all enough for the kind words donations and concern for this girl! We will keep everyone posted on her progress!”

If you are able, please consider donating towards Penny’s care, please click here or by mail to PO Box 1127, Prospect, KY 40059.

Anyone who recognizes this dog or has information about her, please telephone 270-826-8966, or email @ Kmain@hshcky.org.
