A 10-month-old terrified German shepherd puppy arrived at the Riverside County Animal Control on March 21, 2021 after he was impounded from his former owner. Wounds on the puppy’s neck caused by an embedded rope are still healing.
Please share this boy’s tragic beginning to life with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Surely, this puppy named Nigel deserves better.
The shelter has asked for help and is hoping animal advocates are able to share this puppy’s plight. A volunteer told Nigel’s heartbreaking story:
“IF I LOOK SCARED I AM. THAT’S WHY I AM LAYING ON THE FLOOR! SEE WHERE I CAME FROM THEY WEREN’T VERY GOOD TO ME. THEY LEFT A ROPE AROUND MY NECK AND IT WAS SO TIGHT IT CUT INTO MY SKIN! NOW NOT ONLY AM I SCARED BUT I AM ALSO INJURED ! I DONT KNOW WHY PEOPLE GET US AND THEN DONT TREAT US LIKE WE ARE THEIR FAMILY INSTEAD WE ARE TREATED LIKE WE ARE THEIR PROPERTY! WE HAVE FEELINGS TOO WE FEEL PAIN AND LONELINESS!”
PetHarbor adoption listing: ID#A1616391.
