Impounded dog’s friend is gone, now his is alone and at risk of being killed

An impounded dog, picked up as a stray and taken to the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) in Downey, California, is all alone after his kennel-mate and friend left. Cyrus, a husky, befriended another husky named Percy, who finally was able to leave when his family came to reclaim him…but Cyrus is now alone in his kennel and he is at risk of being killed if someone doesn’t come to save him soon.

Three days ago, a social media post was made on Cyrus’ behalf:

Cyrus was fortunate to find a best friend during this dark chapter of his life at high kill SEAACA. They played endlessly, and snuggled as they slept, but Cyrus’ best friend Percy is gone now. After waiting for nearly a month, his family came for him. Young (1-5 yrs), 48 lb Cyrus now finds himself alone, and scheduled to take his last walk without a friend in the world. DOWNEY (Seaaca Shelter), CA

Cyrus is a young boy who apparently enjoys the company of other dogs – but he may not have the opportunity to play with a canine friend again if nobody comes to get him.

Please help Cyrus find a new, loving owner, by sharing this article with his adoption information.
