Inconvenient dog dumped at shelter when family made travel plans

In Houston, Texas, an inconvenient dog named Molly senses she is no longer important to her family. At five-years-old, the dachshund and Chinese Shar pei mix sits in a kennel cage at an overcrowded shelter.

Molly was adopted as a puppy from BARC in 2015. She was surrendered on Wednesday because her family will be traveling for two months and couldn’t find anyone to keep her.

“We have a small dog with deformed front legs. She growls in cage but warms up after a while of sweet talking. Adopted from BARC as a puppy in 2015. Available for rescue,” her description stated.

Share this little one’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Sadly, surrendered pets are often the first ones humanely euthanized because of overcrowded shelters. Surely Molly deserves better.
