Man moved into long-time shelter dog’s kennel and now she finally has a home

When Scott Poore, with Mission Driven, learned of a dog who had spent over 400 days in a Merriam, Kansas, animal shelter, he set out to do something about it. Earlier this month, Poore moved into Queen’s kennel run and vowed to stay there until she was adopted from the Great Plains SPCA.

Poore’s ambitious mission was met with success. On Tuesday, the shelter posted a video, writing:

A ROYAL SENDOFF fit for our very own 👑 Queen 👑

❤️ THANK YOU to Mission Driven and Scott Poore for all the help in finding Queen a forever family that is going to give her the royal treatment she deserves! Scott, we hope you don’t have to move back in anytime soon, although you’re always welcome! ❤️
