On Tuesday night, Orlando Bloom, 43, shared sad news on Instagram that his beloved dog “Mighty” has died. Bloom said the Mighty is “on the other side now” after he found the dog’s collar following “7 days of searching from sunrise to sunset.”
In addition, Bloom stated he has
“wept more this week than I thought possible, which has been very cathartic and healing”… and had “left no stone unturned” and “searched every back yard and creek bed” with the help of “two separate sniffer dogs.”
Bloom displayed a tattoo dedicated to Mighty and stated he learned how love is “eternal and the true meaning of devotion.”
“He was more than a companion. It was a soul connection for sure. I’m sorry. I love you. Thank you. RIP my MIGHTY HEART my little fellow A ♠️’s .”
According to Bloom’s Instagram account one week ago, Mighty disappeared in Montecito, California; the dog was microchipped and his collar had a phone number. Bloom adopted the pup in 2017 during a split with now-fiancée Katy Perry, who is expecting their first child. Mighty and Nugget, an identical pup Bloom shares with Perry, often made appearances on Bloom’s Instagram.
We are truly sorry for your loss Orlando; most of us know exactly how you feel. Rest in peace little one.
