“Over full shelter” puts calm, patient dog at risk of losing his life

A crowded Texas animal shelter has put the life of a “calm, patient dog” at risk. The young, mixed breed dog, dubbed Harvey, has been waiting for someone to love him since June.

The Houston Save Lives is our Mission Facebook page reveals the lack of interest in Harvey:

*UPDATE 7/11: NOTHING YET FOR THIS DOG!! IS SOS CALLING RESCUERS & FOSTERS NEED IT! shelter is overcapacity!! they have 50% more than they suppose to hold!!! some are for EU Monday morning!! 😢
*Update 7/6: nothing yet for this dog.

A prior post about Harvey indicates that he was likely neglected:

HARVEY IS ONE OF MANY WONDERFUL DOGS WHO JUST WANT A CHANCE OF A HAPPY ENDING, FINDING A GOOD HOME & NOT MORE END STRAY** This so well behave dog came on June 22, 2021 as a stray from 77044.

He is calm, patiently waiting for a chance to be loved, to be appreciated, seems he has been neglected for a while, his Heartworm test came positive, we know is treatable, but is easy to prevent!!! We don’t have much info on him, but for now HE IS IN NEED! shelter is overfull!, has so many, is like an explosion of pets unwanted!

Saving Harvey

Eventually, Harvey’s luck will run out, and he won’t be given any further time. Please help him beat the odds by sharing his adoption information.
