Obese animals are no laughing matter as this extra weight can cause serious long term health problems, but we see it all the time. Whether people become neglectful or unable to properly care for their pets, it’s a problem that needs to be corrected. The cat in the video below is now getting the help she needs, although she isn’t particularly fond of having to exercise!

Cinder the cat, also known as Cinder-block, was surrendered by her owner after allowing her to become extremely overweight. She’s now on a weight reduction program that includes an underwater treadmill. It’s hard not to have a chuckle at her attitude as she’s doing the bare minimum with one paw doing all the work! It reminds me of the days I just don’t feel like working out. I feel your pain, kitty! But here’s to healthier futures. 🙂
