Owner found a way to continue elderly dog’s outings when walking became impossible

When an elderly dog named Cocoa was no longer able to enjoy walks with her family, her owner came up with a clever way to allow her to continue going on fun outings. As reported by KPLC News, the 16-year-old dog’s owner, Tom Antonino, made a mobile bed for Cocoa to ride on.

During one of Cocoa and Antonino’s outings, a stranger (Carrie Copenhaver) snapped a photo, which went viral after it was posted on social media. Antonino didn’t even know that the image was circulating until family and friends started to reach out to him and ask if it was him and his senior dog. He told the news agency:

I found out from my brother-in-law. He said, ‘Is this you?’ and then other people asked, ‘Is this you?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s Cocoa. That’s Cocoa and I going for a walk,’”

Cocoa recently came to an end, but not before she and her owner showed the world their deep, unconditional love.
