Owner surrendered senior dog days before Thanksgiving

Days before Thanksgiving, a day to celebrate family and friends, a senior dog lost his home. The 12-year-old dog was loaded into a car and driven to the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services in Houston, Texas, on November 25.

The now homeless dog, Ralf Lauren Socks, does not have the safety of a stray hold – he was immediately made available for adoption because his owner surrendered him. No “safe period” means that he can be put down if the shelter facility runs out of space…or if he gets sick…or if he displays behavior that staff finds concerning.

Please help this senior dog find a new, loving and committed owner. You can lend Ralf Lauren Socks a hand by sharing this article with his adoption information.
