Owner surrendered these deeply bonded canine friends

Two dogs, deeply bonded to one another, are homeless after their owner moved and surrendered them to a busy California animal control agency. The dogs, a Chihuahua named Princess, and a German shepherd named Baby, have been at the Los Angeles County Animal Control (Carson facility) since June 30.

A social media advocate writes:

YES WE KNOW WE ARE THE ODD COUPLE! BUT WE LOVE EACH OTHER PLEASE DON’T SEPARATE US WE HAVE LIVED TOGETHER FOREVER! WE NEED EACH OTHER! OUR FAMILY MOVED AND LEFT US AT THE SHELTER

And the volunteer-run Facebook page for the shelter writes:

This beauty was surrendered with her sweet LITTLE sister PRINCESS And now they need some help. We need a miracle to stay together. Please SHARE, a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save them now. Thanks 💕
