Police officer saved man and his dog from Nashville explosion in nick of time

A Nashville man and his dog were saved in the nick of time when a police officer stopped the two along their early Christmas walk  just moments before an RV exploded on Friday.

According to News12, David Malloy said he noticed police cars along the block as he and his black Labrador retriever DJ around 6:30 in the morning. He heard a recording, but had no idea it was coming from the RV and thought it had been coming from the police.

One officer ran up to Malloy and told him to get out of the area who was just beginning to ask the officer what was going on when the blast occurred shattering buildings and glass for blocks. Malloy says he owes the officer for saving the life DJ and himself.

“I checked our alley cameras in our back door, actually blew wide open, and I realized a little later that all the back doors of the buildings behind us, some of them are still wide open,” Malloy told media reporters.

“I checked our alley cameras in our back door, actually blew wide open, and I realized a little later that all the back doors of the buildings behind us, some of them are still wide open,” he continued… and it’s my Christmas miracle I’ll tell you that.”

The dog DJ seemed rather unfazed by all of the confusion and noise, and Malloy hopes his dog is okay.

Many thanks to our brave men and women always on the job to save lives.
