A puppy, tied outside of her home in Niagara Falls, New York, was beaten to death by a man who was observed running from the scene in late March. As reported by ABC 7 News, the seven-month-old husky, named Sky, was “barking and yelping” on the morning of March 20 before her owner came outside and witnessed a man standing over the dog, who was unconscious on the ground.
Though the pup was rushed to a veterinarian, she died – a necropsy confirmed that her injuries were the result of severe blunt force trauma. Sky’s family tells the news agency that they thought their pup would be safe outside in their yard – she had been outside for approximately 30 minutes before being attacked.
Police are searching for a white man, between 35-45 years of age, with dirty blond hair. He is estimated to be over six feet tall and was wearing a blue jacket and brown boots at the time.
Anyone with information should call the Niagara Police.
