A $5,000 reward is being offered for information in an animal cruelty case in Brunswick, Georgia. In mid-October, a good Samaritan discovered a dying dog inside of a filthy cage that was left inside of a porta potty located at a construction site.
As reported by News Jax 4, the Humane Society is hoping that a reward offering will lead to the identity and conviction of whoever left the malnourished dog to die in the porta-potty on Oct. 11. The dog, dubbed Rusty, was in such poor condition when he was found that a veterinarian recommended human euthanasia. But the dog is improving.
Glynn County Animal Control stated:
Rusty, however, is a fighter and has a will to live that is bigger than his tiny body. We reached out to No Kill Glynn County to see if we could transfer him into their care and, of course, they accepted the challenge.
IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO THE IDENTIFICATION AND ARREST OF THE CRIMINAL(S), CALL 911 OR THE GLYNN COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL AT (912) 554-7509. YOU CAN REMAIN ANONYMOUS.
