A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever killed a German shepherd puppy in Chicopee, Massachusetts. On Wednesday morning, the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center reached out to the public about the cruelty case, writing:
We are sharing this story about a puppy killed and dumped in Chicopee in hopes that someone may have information that will give us answers.
If you know anyone who owned or acquired a puppy that they no longer have in Chicopee or surroundings areas, please call 413-781-1484. We will be looking in to leads and there is a $3500 reward offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest or conviction.
As reported by WWLP News, the puppy was less than 12 weeks of age, and he died from blunt force trauma to his head. Hannah Orenstein, the shelter supervisor, told the news agency:
“It is known for sort of a trash dumping area. So we think that somebody intentionally placed this dog there. Not that he would’ve been injured and then run there and died. We think that somebody intentionally left him.”
