A senior dog, homeless and possibly stricken with skin cancer, seems to know that she is facing her last moments alive. The nine-year-old dog, named Mona, has been at the Riverside County Animal Control – Riverside Shelter in California since November 20 and her safe “stray holding period” has already come and gone.
On Monday, the Facebook page, Networking Now, writes:
UPDATE 11/25: This is likely Mona’s last few hours alive. She has probable skin cancer, and is so defeated. It’s as though she knows no one is coming. RIVERSIDE, CA
Two days prior, the urgency of Mona’s situation was released:
Riverside is FULL. Mona is 9 yrs young & critically urgent. Riverside euthanizes with empty kennels, and they are full. We all know what that means. Mona is kenneled with another dog & has some suspicious masses on her tummy, she will not likely make it through close today, Saturday 11/23.
