Senior shepherd has been sitting in ‘small, hot kennel’ for months

A senior German shepherd has been sitting in a “small, hot kennel” run for months. The nine-year-old shepherd, named Phillip, has been at the Los Angeles County (Baldwin Park) Animal Control facility since mid-June.

This week, the Saving Baldwin Park Shelter Dogs Facebook page wrote of Phillip’s plight:

9 yr old German Shepherd waiting in the hot kennels since JUNE 23!!!😡 Why!? Please HELP! This is horrible for the seniors that have to sit in small hot kennels. They don’t even get out to stretch their legs or walk. They need out. And they need you to share them, pledge in the comment section to help rescues with medical, etc. We have too many seniors. We need help. Almost 2 months this poor old guy has been sitting here. Not ok.🥺

Phillip should be enjoying the twilight of his life in a loving home, with an adoring family who wants to shower him with comfort and care. Instead, he is alone.

Please help save Phillip by sharing his adoption information.
