Shelter needs help with petrified 5-month-old puppy

At the Orangeburg County Animal Control and Shelter in South Carolina, a petrified five-month-old puppy was so afraid when she first arrived she would hide under her bed and do her best to avoid human contact. Dubbed Geisha, she has shown absolutely no aggression – she is just scared.

What could someone have done to this young dog?

A volunteer at the shelter tells her story:

“And this is Geisha.
Only about five months old, Geisha is so very afraid in her kennel. She apparently has never known much kindness. Absolutely no aggression, just fear. We can pet her and now she sleeps on her bed instead of hiding under it. Can a Rescue step up to save her? We will not give up on you, Geisha. We promise.”

Share this puppy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Although no one knows what made Geisha so afraid, we can make it better for her.
