Sheriff investigates report that dog found with eyes and mouth taped shut


California’s San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report that a dog was found with its eyes and mouth taped shut. As reported by KSBY News, deputies responded to a report that a black Labrador retriever had wandered into a rural Paso Robles yard on Monday night and portions of the dog’s face were covered with tape.

According to the news agency, the finder had removed the tape from the black lab’s face before the authorities arrived. The dog was taken to animal services; its condition is not currently known.
