Sheriff’s Office seeks information about starved, neglected dog

A sheriff’s office in Butler County, Ohio, has reached out to the public for information regarding a starved dog found this week alongside a road. On Thursday, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office posted several images of an emaciated pit bull mix and asked for information.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office writes:

Sheriff Richard K. Jones states the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Dog Wardens located a Pitbull/Lab mix sitting on the side of the road located in the 2600 block of Hamilton Eaton Rd. in St. Clair Twp. He is severely emaciated and dehydrated currently under the care of a veterinarian.

According to the authorities, the dog does not have a microchip, identification tags or a collar.

“We ask anyone who may recognize this canine to come forward. We will work diligently to seek who is responsible for this abuse and hold them accountable,” states Sheriff Jones.
