In Olive Township, Michigan, a Good Samaritan rescued a dog locked and zip-tied inside of porta-potty; his huge brown eyes looking up at her as he shivered in the cold with no food or water.
According to Harbor Humane, the woman had stopped at Polkton Township Sheridan Park to use the porta-potty on December 30 when she discovered the dog. She untied him and took him to the shelter.
“This is Jon. He’s one of those “pibble” types that we see a lot of here at the shelter, but that have a special place in our heart as a result. But here’s the thing…
Jon came to us today after being found at a park, inside of a porta potty – zip tied in a crate, alone and cold, with no food or water accessible to him,” the organization posted on their Facebook page.
And not as any surprise, Jon is very sweet and affectionate.
“Luckily, Jon had some human angels of his own looking out for him, and they found him this morning. They were able to cut the zip ties loose and get him safely to us here at Harbor. Reportedly, many thank you kisses ensued…as does with most dogs who have, literally, had their lives saved. ❤
This sweet wiggle-butts has already stolen the hearts of everyone here, and will surely find a home that is deserving of his love just as he is theirs.”
