In our disposable society, an active dog named Pretzel found out that enthusiasm may not be the gold standard for being adopted. On Saturday, the two-and-a-half year-old friendly pooch was adopted and returned in just a manner of hours because she was “too active.”
At the Stevens Swan Humane Society in Utica, New York, Pretzel’s disappointment could be seen in her photo as she was returned to her kennel; yes, she was “super bummed” her advocates added.
“We are looking for an active family for her, she loves to play and she is 2 1/2 years old. She is friendly and loves attention. She is good with other dogs, but no kitties please. Please share Pretzel to help us find her match! “
Pretzel came in as a stray in February. She was so afraid when she first arrived at the shelter, she wouldn’t even come to the front of the kennel. She would just wrap herself up in her blanket and stay on her bed. After a few days she decided we weren’t so bad, and she broke right out of her shell. Now she is very friendly and loves attention. She is pretty active and playful.
Please share this girl’s story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
