Surrendered to shelter and left shaking and terrified

This is two-year-old Cony; she was surrendered to Miami-Dade Animal Services just two days before Christmas by her owners. The shelter is noisy and overcrowded – Cony is left shaking and terrified. Tragically this is what happens when a pet is dumped at the shelter.

It’s not as if Cony is bad. Her shelter notes indicate quite the opposite:

“Pet tries to hide but warms up to you quickly, pet allows to be petted and handled, walks well on a leash, sweet pet! Never tried to bite or growl or showed any signs of aggression.”

Cony is a gray and white terrier; she weighs 40 pounds and is estimated to be two-years-old. Her identification # is A2108449:

For more information, contact the shelter. Share Cony’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. It is doubtful she will make it out alive without a committed foster home or adopter. This girl doesn’t understand why she is in this place – she is scared and confused and needs our help immediately. Sharing saves lives.
